A sweet tea table: 5 no-bake ideas
Guests arriving in half an hour and no time to bake? Here are five ready-made ideas: a cake assortment, a kids' corner, nutty and Dubai-style platters and a fresh fruity touch.

A great sweet table doesn't have to start in the oven. A few kinds of cakes, a couple of chocolate bars, a nice board and some fresh fruit — and tea time looks as if you spent all evening preparing. Here are five ideas that come together in ten minutes.
1. The assortment platter
Soft sponge cakes with different fillings are the base of the table. Take a few Torku Gala caramel, Gala forest berries and Gala Gold with chocolate sauce. Cut some of them in half so guests can try everything without overdoing it.
2. The kids' corner
Kids love anything they can grab by hand. Torku Miniki cakes with a milky filling are just the right size, and the drumstick-shaped Choco Drumz chocolate almost always gets a smile.

The same treats help on weekdays too: pop one cake into a lunch box with fruit and juice for a school or travel snack.
3. Nutty mood
For hazelnut and pistachio fans: Torku Favorimo with cocoa and hazelnut, Doubi Pie hazelnut and Doubi Pie pistachio. Add a few squares of Beyoglu İstiklal milk chocolate with hazelnuts for a platter in one flavour palette.
4. The Dubai corner
Chocolate with kataifi and pistachio is the biggest sweet trend of recent years. Cut a Dubaco Mini bar into pieces and add Rosso Bianco Dubai bars: the crunchy filling looks stunning in cross-section. More about this chocolate in “Dubai chocolate explained”.
5. A fresh touch
To keep the table from feeling heavy, add something bright and light: Beyoglu Matchico with matcha and strawberry or white Angel Hair with raspberry, with berries, tangerine or apple slices alongside.
The rule of three. Three textures look great on one board: something soft (cake), something crunchy (a wafer or bar) and something fresh (fruit). Serve the tea unsweetened — it brings out the flavour of the desserts.
How much to buy
| Guests | Cakes | Chocolate and bars |
|---|---|---|
| 2–3 | 4–6 | 1 bar + 2 snack bars |
| 4–6 | 8–12 | 2 bars + 4 snack bars |
| 7–10 | 14–20 | 3 bars + 6 snack bars |
Everything above can be ordered together — so you can welcome your guests without the rush.
